Introduction

Unscroll ("we", "our", "the app") is an iOS application that helps you manage screen time by requiring physical exercise to unlock blocked apps. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this app.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Camera footage or images
• App usage data or browsing history
• Location data
• Device identifiers or analytics
• Health or fitness data to external servers

Camera Usage

Unscroll uses your device's camera solely for real-time pose detection during exercises. This is how it works:

• Camera frames are processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework
• No images or video are recorded, saved, or transmitted
• Only body joint positions (skeleton data) are analyzed to count exercise repetitions
• Camera access stops immediately when the exercise session ends

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:

• Blocked app selections — which apps you chose to block, stored via Apple's Screen Time APIs
• Exercise history — exercise type, rep count, and duration, stored in the app's local database
• Exercise points — stored in your device's Keychain
• Usage statistics — daily exercise and screen time summaries, stored locally

Screen Time APIs

Unscroll uses Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to block and unblock apps. These APIs are privacy-preserving by design — app identifiers are opaque tokens that cannot be used to determine which specific apps you have selected.

In-App Purchases

Unscroll offers a one-time premium purchase through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information.

Third-Party Services

Unscroll does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services. There are no SDKs that transmit data off your device.

Children's Privacy

Unscroll does not knowingly collect any information from children. All data remains on-device regardless of the user's age.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Since we don't collect your contact information, we encourage you to check this page periodically.
